By spending less we then have a greater opportunity to share with those who have nothing. Again we find that the precedent has already been set: 'Though Jesus was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, so that by his poverty he could make you rich.'(Source: 2 Cor 8:9 (NLT)) Just imagine if 4,000 people each gave £250, that's £1 million! Or 8,000 gave £250 that's £2 million! Our desire is that through our individual giving we will collectively bless many, many others at Christmas.
